Delays on SH1 after three-vehicle crash near Auckland's Silverdale

Both southbound lanes are closed on State Highway 1 near Silverdale in north Auckland after a three-vehicle crash.

One person has been transported to hospital, police said.

The crash was reported at 11.55am.

The transport agency said both southbound lanes are now closed. Traffic is being diverted off the motorway at the Silverdale off-ramp and back on at the on-ramp.

Police advise drivers to expect delays in the area and take an alternative route if possible.
